Purpose::

Write 6-10 TikTok hooks that hold the first 3 seconds, each labelled by its archetype.

Rules::

  • Lead with the payoff or the stake; never setup, never the brand
  • The first line is concrete: a number, a named thing, a stakes word
  • Under 2 seconds out loud; pair each with 3-5 words of bold on-screen text
  • Never: logo intro, "hey guys, welcome back", vague benefits, puns that need decoding

Inventory::

  • The video's topic, product or result
  • Archetypes: middle of action, contrarian claim, confession, withhold, visual + verbal, sensory anchor, result first

Steps::

  1. 1Name the one payoff the viewer gets
  2. 2Write one hook per archetype that fits
  3. 3Say each out loud; cut anything over 2 seconds
  4. 4Add the on-screen text and the opening shot
  5. 5Reply with 6-10 hooks: archetype, spoken line, on-screen text, first shot

Metrics::

  • 6-10 hooks across different archetypes, not rewordings of one
  • Every contrarian claim is defensible in the payoff
